In this section, the plates that make up the frame of the air conditioning coils (serpentine coils), dry coolers and HVAC sets are cut, perforated and folded. We use galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium (Al) and brass.
In the tube section, we work with 3/8” and 5/8”copper tube. We have machines for straightening tubes, cutting tubes and making hairpins and tubes.
Six weld/brazing types are used in the manufacture of heat exchanger manifolds: a MIG weld (Iron (Fe) – Iron (Fe), four brazings (Copper (Cu) – Copper (Cu), Copper (Cu) – Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu) – Stainless steel and Copper (Cu) – Brass) and a TIG weld (Stainless steel – Stainless steel).
4. FIN LINES
Radiadores Cerezo has four fin production lines: two for the manufacture fins with 25 x 21.65 geometry in 3/8”. and another two (both 5/8”) with different geometries (38 x 34 and 60 x 30).
This involves the conversion of the fin packet into a rigid body that makes the heat transfer of plate-fin and tube exchangers possible (air conditioning coils/serpentine coils). We have vertical, horizontal and portable expanders for the following geometries: 3/8” (25 x 21.65), 5/8” (38 x 34), and 5/8” (60 x 30).
When it comes to putting the air conditioning coils together, we assemble the fin packet with the frame and the manifolds. This requires riveting and welding work.
7. LEAK TEST
Without exception, we test all the heat exchangers we manufacture (10,000 a year) using a pneumatic test to detect leaks. We subject the exchangers to 1.5 times their working pressure (or higher if required by the customer) for the duration stipulated by the company’s Quality System (ISO 9001).
